The southern cousin of Brunswick Stew, our Kentucky Burgoo is (more-or-less) a thick-n-spicy vegetable soup. Everyone wants to know “what’s in it” and that’s part of the fun so we’re not telling. We will tell you there’s nothing in our burgoo that is not USDA inspected. (Or is there?) Hmmm.
Burgoo is best when slow-cooked in an enormous cast-iron kettle. Our pot has plenty of experience – it was forged around 1890. For larger groups, we cook on-site.
